Small business web sites can offer great benefits from the internet marketing strategy of using testimonials.
Because to the nature of having a web site, your customers may feel that they are in requirement of a little ‘proof’ before taking any decision to buy from you. Unlike a usual ‘business’ they can’t visit your premises to entail a sense of whether you are ‘for real’. So the use of consumer testimonials in your internet marketing and on your business web site can considerably assist convenience their skepticism and thus help you with expansion of your business.
Here’s a tips on how to do them for your small business Internet web site:-
1. Your Testimonials Should Match Your Target Market
The key thing you should make sure when entailing and posting testimonials on your web site, is that they should appeal to your target market well. Your target market should read the testimonials and say to themselves “Hey, this person was just like me when they purchased the product or service and look at them now. I want to be like them too!”
So select testimonials that will appeal to your target market.
2. Have a Benefit Headline
The headline is the most often read part of the testimonial. So make sure to inform the reader the major benefit the person providing the testimonial received from using your product or service. If you write it accurately, it should be an advantage that your potential customers would wish for.
3. Include a Photo
A photo will raise believability. The reader will see the photo and will judge the person in the photograph. They will look at the person to obtain a sense of whether they can a trustworthy person or not who is giving the testimonial. So I recommend that you should seek an expert to take the photograph.
The more friendly and believable the photo is of the person giving you their testimonial, the more the reader will consider their testimonial.
4. Use the Name of the Person Giving the Testimonial
Preferably, seek permission of the person giving the testimonial to use their name and anything else you may need. Once again, your reader is hunting for ways to doubt the testimonial, so by showing catalog of the name of the person it turns it more believable for them.
